Brothers

There are some big difference between Eli and Asher. Eli hates getting his teeth brushed-Asher loves it. At 9 months Eli learned to walk and run, and would walk or crawl right off the edge of anything high- and at 9 months Asher is just learning to scoot and is very cautious. Eli has always had an out-going personality, smiling and talking to anyone and everyone. If a stranger says "Hi" to Asher he will turn his head and cry. Eli was almost 2 before he learned to throw things, Asher already likes balls and throwing things.
And some similarities too. They both love to eat! They are both good at shape sorters and puzzles. They both grew super fast in the first few months of life, then leveled out. They both love to play with Mom and Dad, give plenty of smiles, and fill our lives with meaning and joy.

Just for fun here are some similarities between the kids and the puppy. Chewing on shoes, needing to be watched every second (when Daisy is inside anyway), learning not to bite, whining and crying, peeing on the floor, and night time wakings. But they all love to eat, play, wrestle, give kisses, explore everything, and love you unconditionally.

Asher 9 months

Asher is now mobile! He has decided crawling is to risky, he scoots around on his bottom, never leaving the safety of that sitting position. He is also working on pulling up and standing on his own. He can stand unassisted for about 6 seconds.
Asher loves, loves, loves the water! It doesn't matter how cold it is he wants to get right in there and splash away.
As you may be able to see in this picture Asher has 6 teeth. He got all 6 of them at 7 months old and has not gotten any new ones recently. He uses those teeth to chow down on tons of solid food. He eats almost everything we eat, and almost as much too!
Swinging on our swing set is one of his favorite activities. Another favorite is trying to sneak up and steal Eli's favorite toys while he is playing with them.
All that playing, growing and learning can really tire you out!

A Day at the Lake

Can you canoe? Daisy can! We are planning a canoe camping trip this summer, so we are taking the kids out to get them used to the idea of being in a canoe. We now have another 4 legged passenger who wants to come too.
