Asher's 2nd Birthday

Asher's 2nd Birthday was quite an event!
It was a Bob the Builder theme, Asher even dressed like Bob!
There was lots of :

more swinging,

and more swinging,

and even zip lining,
some tree house playing,

and some tree house building,

a little pumpkin decorating,

well, OK a lot of pumpkin decorating,

Fire building,

Happy Birthday singing,

Marshmallow cooking,

Present opening Fun!

Wow, I'm tired out too!

new beds

Eli got a new bigger bed in August with Lightening McQueen sheets that he loves. We wanted to transition Eli out of the toddler bed before Asher needed it(since Eli climbed out at 2y and 2m). We made the switch just in time because about a month later Asher did decide to climb out of his crib/pack and play(about a month before he turned 2).

They really do grow up quickly!

More river fun

I know some of you probably think we are crazy for going on a second 3 day canoe camping trip down the Delaware river but we think it is great fun!

You really get to know each other when you spend so much time together where there are no phones or interruption.
It is a lot of organizing to pack everything you need for 3 day in a small space, but it is worth it when you get there and get to float and play in the river all day. What a great place for boys the be boys and to play with there trucks

and mud!Nap time never seems to be a problem after a tiring morning of playing.

Asher even slept through the thunder storm while Dan made a shelter for Eli out of our canoe and gear.
Breakfast time

MMM- Blueberry pancakes

Zach, Rachel, Abi and JD joined us at our camp site for breakfast the last day, and it was so fun to have them canoes with us all day!

Eli loved having a friend to play with.

Let us know if you want to join us next year!

Family fun nights

This summer at Goshen Baptist (our new church), they has 3 family fun nights that were fabulous! They were some of the most fun times we had all summer. I only brought my camera to one but they were all fantastic! There was a fair, with moon bounces, games, prizes and food. They had a magician/kid's comedian and ice cream night. I don't think I have ever heard Eli laugh so hard. And they had a water fun night, with a dunk tank, little pools, a big slip and slide and ice cream truck ice cream. All this was FREE. We had such a great time playing together as a family. They have also put on a scavenger hunt in the fall and a candy cane family breakfast this year! I really look forward to there family events.

Atlantic city trip

Pop-pop and Mei-mom took us to the beach in August.
We had so much fun!

We even stayed at a really nice hotel.

I thought I was at the spa!

We were really high up, and we had a great view.

And we went inside a big elephant named LUCY.

There was even an indoor beach for when it was dark.
Mommy came on this trip too.
The fun never ended!

Beach time

We loved the playing in the sand
and the water
with Pop-pop
and Mei-mom
We even played together sometimes,
although Asher's favorite part was being the smasher
Thanks for the great weekend!

Remembering Summer

Here in the midst of winter and several feet of snow I thought I'd remind everyone what summer was like. Or I'm just really really behind on the blog but I have so many pictures I'd love to share with you.
Pop-pop and Mei-mom took us to the Goshen Fair. Pop-pop said he used to go there when he was a kid!

Asher loved the animals.
After Daddy successfully rung the bell at the top all 3 times Eli wanted to have a whack at it!
"Maybe if we work together we can lift it."
"They even took us on some rides!"
