Asher recently turned 18 months old, so here are a few pictures of his life so far.
Asher is growing and learning so quickly.
He is so big, but at the same time he is so little.
He seem to understand everything we say. He shakes his head for No and gives and excited laugh for yes. He does say a few words but does not use them often unless I make him, and even then he won't talk if someone outside the immediate family is around.
These are the words that he knows how to say, na nu=banana, Nigh nigh=Good night, aw du= all done, bye bye, uh-oh, ma=map, hello hello hello, mama, dada, bubbu=bubble, there are a few others that he has said once or twice but these are the ones he uses the most.

Asher is excited to potty train. I sit him on the potty several times a day and when he is able to gas he gets so excited and claps his hands. He has also peed in the potty a couple times. I think it will be quite a while before he is totally potty trained but since we were potty training Eli the whole time Asher has been alive he has witnessed the training and he wants to be a part of the action too.

He loves animals. His favorites are giraffes, elephants, horses, then dogs and cats. He loves all the stuffed animals that Eli never took notice of. He loves to cuddle with his stuffed animals, his blankets and his family members.
He has learned to play on his own quite nicely and he is a pretty easy going kid. A few of the other things that he loves to do are to taking a bath, eating, checking the mail box, going outside, bring the wood in with daddy, and playing with Eli's toys and trucks.
He is a good eater he eats pretty much anything that I put on his plate and asks for more. He has all his teeth now too. He consistently sleeps all night, 8pm to about 8am and he take one good nap in the afternoon.
I'm trying to get him to say 2 words together so every night I try to get him to say night night Dada. He says it but with a 10 second delay between the words. Going into daddy's office and saying good night is one of his favorite parts of the day.
He is very shy when he meets new people or is taken to a new place, but after a few minutes he usually decided to either fall asleep and block out the world, or join in the fun as long as mommy is right there.

It is hard to beleive he is so independent now.
